Located at the heart of the European river network, this structure of titanic dimensions allows the new generations of inland waterway vessels to cross a 73.15 metre difference in height, making it the largest boat lift in Europe!

Experience the 18th century in the 21st! Welcome to the Age of Enlightenment From one day to the next, the 18th century at the Château de Seneffe is a fun and lively way to discover the new scenography of the permanent collection of the Goldsmith Museum of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation. An exhibition that highlights the collections and allows visitors to experience the "imagined" life of the castle lords of the Age of Enlightenment, based on an almanac. A place for walks, the Parc du Domaine du Château de Seneffe is also a site for outdoor contemporary art exhibitions , an event space where visitors are seduced by the bucolic landscape and the variety of events.

 La Maison des Géants est située dans un remarquable immeuble du 18e siècle au décor particulièrement raffiné : le Château Cambier. En 2025, sept géants vous y accueillent pour vous dévoiler les secrets d'une fête multiséculaire, la Ducasse d'Ath.  De nombreux trésors du patrimoine local, produits par des artisans de grand talent, sont présentés au fil des salles. Chaque personnage gigantesque vous emmènera dans un voyage temporel mêlant histoire, art et folklore. Une expérience enrichissante et mémorable dans un écrin préservé au cœur de la jolie ville d'Ath.

The history of the Notre-Dame à la Rose Hospital takes us back in time since we owe its foundation to Alix de Rosoit, in 1242. This hospital will become a real place of asylum and care for the sick and the destitute of the city during its eight centuries of activity. A site recognized as a major heritage in Wallonia and Europe! Its cachet of exceptional heritage, the Notre-Dame à la Rose Hospital owes it in the first place to the quality of the building and its remarkable state of conservation. It is a witness to medical history with its beautiful garden of singles, its two patient rooms and its pharmacy. A discovery tour through 20 newly designed rooms tells the story of the life and evolution of hospitals and healthcare from the Middle Ages to the present day.

The Wallonia-Brussels Federation Center for Gravure and Printed Image, located in La Louvière, is a museum dedicated to engraving, a rare collection, original exhibitions and an active educational service! 40 minutes from Brussels, the Center de la Gravure is a multiple place of meeting, creation and research dedicated to contemporary printmaking. Its astonishing collection of 12,000 works by 1,640 Belgian and foreign artists testifies to the richness of modern and contemporary art since the second half of the 20th century. A documentation center, an engraving workshop, a conference and projection room allow all audiences to access the different facets of printed art. The educational service develops different adapted activities:guided tours, engraving workshops, educational kits, adult and children's courses, outdoor activities and long-term educational actions. Amateurs, collectors, students, families,… each public can learn about printmaking through original activities designed in close collaboration with the artists. For each exhibition , an active visit, a game trail, a creative workshop - choice and à la carte! The team at the Center de la Gravure's mediation service welcomes young and old and takes you step by step to discover the secrets and beauties of print.

In the 7th century, Maurosus, a notorious brigand, returns to settle on the scene of his misdeeds in the hope of seeing his faults redeemed. He converts to Christianity. He founded Aulne a few leagues from Lobbes and took the baptismal name Landelin. Initially Aulne is dependent on Lobbes and suffers from numerous invasions. In 1147, it became part of the Principality of Liège and became a Cistercian abbey, obeying the order of Clairvaux.From this period, Aulne-la-Riche entered into direct competition with Lobbes-la-Savante. Today, in the middle of nature, she exposes herself in front of you. Spend a day, a weekend, visit it, take the time to discover Aulne, its RAVeL along the water, its boat trips, its mini-golf, its many terraces on the banks of the Sambre.

 The Atomium was not intended to survive beyond the 1958 World's Fair. However, at the dawn of the 2000s, the uniqueness and highly symbolic character of the building resulted in a major restoration. Since its reopening and the introduction of a new cultural and tourism project [2006]: one that many do not hesitate to call the most Belgian of monuments not only rediscovered its place as an international symbol and icon but also became the most popular attraction in the Capital of Europe.
